Situation:
Existing board game platforms were perceived by young adults as visually outdated, slow, and cluttered with non-essential content, hindering discovery.
Task:
Design a high-performance, modern web interface to streamline game exploration, rule clarification, and community interaction.
Action:
Conducted Competitive Audits and developed User Personas to identify friction in legacy navigation. Utilized Information Architecture (IA) mapping to simplify the user journey. Developed Iterative Prototypes (Low to High-Fidelity) and established a comprehensive Design System—focusing on typography, elevation, and visual hierarchy—to ensure a fast, “mobile-first” aesthetic.
Result:
Delivered a high-fidelity prototype that reduces cognitive load through a minimalist UI. Integrated a “Feeling Lucky” discovery feature and a centralized rules repository, resulting in a more intuitive, accessible experience tailored for the target demographic.
